We had a special guest appearance after the first break, all the way from Japan and sitting on a tree by a river were Grasshopper and Nanky Poo, to give us Tit Willow from Gilbert and Sullivan’s Mikado. Thanks Les B and Graham P.
Thereafter, the resident electricians had managed to cure our projector lighting problem. Well done whoever spotted the broken connecting pin.
Good and varied STARTIME this week, thanks to
- Eddie who gave us Hank Williams’ Jambalaya (1952)
- Mark as a tribute to the Nobel Prize Winner gave us Bob Dylan’s Don’t Think Twice recorded in 1962 and released on his FreeWheelin’ Album (1963)
- Joe accompanied by Dave gave us the 1954 song Fly Me To The Moon, primarily associated with Frank Sinatra, it has been recorded by over 100 different artists. Joe is in the studio for version 101 next week.
- Dave D and Ken then gave us the Beatles’ Let It Be. Mother Mary !!!
After Startime Donna, Betty, Eunice and Diane couldn’t take their eyes off us.
Next week it’s the turn of The Two Graham’s P and K. Don’t forget the week after is the Hallow’een special.
It’s Diane and Dave’s Evening at The Crown, New Springs this Thursday, although Diane will not be there (again). One more absence and her name will be removed from the Title.
Just a word about the sandwiches. I will only buy two trays next week as they are not all going and I am not getting my money back. We’ll see how it goes.
