Another great evening of splendid songs, thanks to Les B for leading and Eunice and Diane for the scrolling. Well done to the team who went to Dumfries, had a great time and came back with the most together group trophy. Pride of place in the Club.

Once again a great mix of songs from the two G’s, and expertly lead and scrolled. Thanks very much.
Thanks to this week’s Ashes – Ken on bass, Brian on drums, Tom on percussion and Eddie on harmonica. Thanks to those who led on some of the songs and Graham made sure members did their share – Les B, Bernard, Eddie, Joe, Lee, Steve McG, Donna and Betty were both second hand girls, Joy, Anne, Eunice, Elaine, Betty, Donna and Margo were Lovefools and Speedy Gonzales’. David B, Mark, Carole, Dave D, Ernie, Joy, Graham K, Brian Brittain, Brendan, Steve G, Trevor, Carole, and Joy, Donna, and Eunice slept with some lions for the night. I didn’t see it, because my back was to them, but I am lead to believe that a group of our Ladies caused some concern to those Lads behind them, by dancing to Simon Says. Well, I’m in the driving seat next week, so it’s on the list again, just so that I can see the pints being spilt. Thanks to all, really enjoyable.
A bit of a competition to get on to STARTIME this week, but it’s thanks to the following winners.
I’ve got down an Independence Day Special as an idea for 4 July (the very day I got engaged in 1975). If this is to go ahead as planned we probably need to start making some arrangements. Only saying !!!
This Thursday it’s Diane and Dave’s do at the Crown, New Springs.
Our evening started with a minutes silence in respect for the victims of the Manchester terror attack, nice and appropriate thought Dave – thanks.

Thanks to the members who lead on some of the numbers – Les B; David S; Mark; Ernie; Carole; Anne; Eddie; Tom; Jo; Elaine; both Brian’s; Joe; Joy and Lee.
Eunice, Joy, Carole, Jackie and Gillian shared an itsy, bitsy, teeny, weeny yellow polka dot bikini - now you’re sorry you didn’t come David Brindley !!!!

Next week it’s the turn of the two Grahams – set list later.

Meantime, we wish Diane all the best for her hospital visit and trust all goes well.
Firstly welcome to our new members, Gillian and Mary, and we hope you had a good evening with us. Unfortunately Jo couldn’t make it this evening due to illness and we hope she gets well soon.
I bet you didn’t think we had that many Beatles' tunes in the library. Well done Brian for giving us a full evening from the Fab Four, excellent stuff. Thanks to Diane for doing the initial scrolling, great work and then it all went downhill when Eric took over the driving, but thanks to him anyway. :-)

This Thursday it’s Diane and Dave’s night at The Crown, New Springs.
The next meeting is the last opportunity for members to turn up and register their continued membership interest. Don’t worry, we know about George Kesterton and Ken Docherty, not being able to make it because they are in foreign parts, but anyone else needs to let us know why they are not able to make it during April, or face having their membership relinquished.
We were a little worried that the lack of members early on would spoil the evening, but after Diane had taken the register, you were treated to a really good night, with the usual selection of great tunes from Graham including quite a number of new ones. Tonight after a start by Graham K, Graham P was ably assisted by Diane.
Thanks to this week’s Ashes – Brian on drums, Eddie on harmonica and special thanks to John, stepping in on bass. Thanks to those who lead on some of the songs – Eddie; Mark; Trevor; Carole; Ernie. The ladies Anne; Elaine; Carole; Jackie; Donna, Margo and Eunice sang about Venus and Never Falling In Love Again. An excellent Eddee and Donnata Saved Their Love for us. Margo and Anne gave us Hallelujah, I Love Him So, and Brian sang Marty Robbins’ El Paso.
Betty; Jackie; Carole; Donna; Eunice; Anne and Elaine sang Mamma Mia, and Margo and Trevor Were Making Eyes at each other. Steve (Rolfie) Gilmour was there Tying His Kangaroo Down, Sport.
All great stuff, and a very good STARTIME, thanks to
Next week it’s the turn of Steve Gilmour and Trevor Gwynn, set list later.
